Ami Yares is a 12-string guitar wielding, world traveling folk musician, teacher and peace builder with a knack for making music that moves you physically, spiritually, and politically. Described as cross between “Randy Newman and David Broza (AXS),” Ami’s music merges his Jersey roots with the sounds of his Middle Eastern branches in a yet-to-be-named fusion of styles.

Ami’s songwriting chimes with mystery
like an over-the-hills-and-far-away scavenger
hunt through Nick Drake’s foot trunk,
Paul Simon’s rec-room, and Allison Krauss’s tour bus.

A multicultural sharing of sounds
Sing Out!

Somewhat of a cross between Randy Newman and David Broza,
Yares wields his 12-string guitar as if it were an entire orchestra,
backing his vocals with a dense, rich cascade of sound.
Meaning sizzled in his eyes with the intensity of hot coal,
revealing the inspired soul of a socially-driven artist.
