Nytrous, which describes it’s sounds as both “21st Century Classic Rock” and “Progressive Pop” is the decades old collaboration between bassist-guitarist Chuck Darrow and keyboardist-guitarist Lance Fingles. The pair have been writing songs together since the mid-seventies and released a Cd called “It’s About Time”. Lance and Chuck are joined by another duo, the husband and wife acoustic pair Rusty and Jan. They began collaborating together in 2000. Jan is a classically trained flautist and saxophone player. Rusty is an old folkie and songwriter. Together they’ve forged a unique sound. They belong to the Pennsport String Band and the Philadelphia Folksong Society. Last year they realized one of their dreams to play at the Philadelphia Folk Festival. The two duos have come together with a new amalgamation of sounds and harmonies. They love to “Nytrousize” their favorite oldies and take it to a different place. Among the venues Nytrous has performed at include The Grape Room, The Vault (Berlin,N.J.) Connie’s Ric Rac, and the Legendary Dobbs. They have played “The Light of Day Festival”, The Haverford Music Festival, and the Liberty Music Fest.
